OCUBO

Created in 2004 by the creative minds of Carole Purnelle and Nuno Maya, the atelier OCUBO develops video mapping shows and interactive light projections focused on the communication of emotions in urban spaces.

Guided by principles of creativity, innovation and artistic excellence, its works excel by the contemporary approach given to History and to the cultural and architectural symbols of the places where their work excel in the contemporary. By using of several audiovisual media -photographs archives, illustrations for HD video, 3D and 4D animation and interactive programming -OCUBO productions are characterized by dazzling games of color, light, sound and movement. It is also worth noting the importance given by the atelier to participation and inclusion. Thus, many of its projections rely on the assistance of the local community or appeal to the interaction of the public with the artwork.

Thanks to a versatile team, OCUBO is, nowadays, a reference in the art of light with large format multimedia projects displayed all over the world -Australia, Israel, New Zealand, Poland,United Kingdom, among many other countries. By breaking down socio-cultural barriers, the atelier addresses new ways of seeing and feeling art. Light ON!
